J.P. Weber is a versatile blues singer and guitarist / mandolinplayer from Bonn. The ex-frontman of the band Back to Back is a true master of the various musical genres as blues, cool, free, gipsy swing and rock. J.P. Weber was trained by his father Horst Weber and Gerd Sauerborn (e.g. John Suess Band), who acquainted him with modern classics. He preferres to play swing of the 20ties and 30ties. The influences of BB King and Joe Pass are noticeable in his musical style. He is, however, also a perfect player of gipsy swing, also called Jazz Manouche, à la Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. J.P. Webers is a multi-faceted, dynamic and decent guitarist who especially loves clear sound effects. He performed as sideman with e.g. The Troggs, Bläck Fööss,Luther Allisson and BB King. He also worked with various big bands and with his own bands: Back to Back, J.P. Weber Trio, Weber & Weber (father & son), Mike Brosnan Duo, Wailin’Willie & J.P. Weber and Lulu Reinhardt & J.P. Weber.
